Role Purpose:

The Talent Acquisition Senior Specialist will provide professional-level services to achieve strategic business outcomes. This role will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization as a whole, and ensure consistency as part of Global Solutions – Talent Acquisition - Shared Service Delivery.

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Apply the Talent Acquisition process and ensure adherence to Majid Al Futtaim policies and procedures, from all involved parties.
  • Build a pipeline of diverse candidates that can be shared across Talent Acquisition team, especially for frequently filled positions at many levels.
  • Learn process and work with managers to insure adherence to financial/budgetary plan (regarding hires).
  • Maintain best practices in recruitment compliance and identify alternative recruitment methods to target, attract and maintain a highly skilled and diversified applicant pool.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relations with Talent Acquisition - Business Partners and guarantee alignment and support throughout the recruitment process.
  • Responsible for sourcing, assessing, and supporting the onboarding process for both, external and internal talent.
  • Creatively source candidates from various channels inclusive of research, social media, and networking.
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including identifying the selection criteria, developing competency-based questions, sourcing & screening applicants, interviewing candidates in conjunction with hiring managers, and verifying references.
  • Identify issues which impact the acquisition activities and recommend action plans to meet staffing requirements.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to hiring manager on candidate selection and offers of employment.
  • Explore overseas and local markets for suitable talent and recommend reputed agents to assist in searching and selecting for hard-to-fill roles or projects.
  • Streamline the screening processes to ensure the selection of top talent is completed within agreed SLAs.
  • Ensure the selection of top talent in the market through the assessment of capabilities, experience, and potential for growth within the business.
  • Guarantee a positive candidate experience through the interview and pre-employment process by responding to and resolving questions that may arise.
  • Manage offer process to ensure Approval-to-Hire, offer letter creation, and pre-onboarding requirements are met
  • Work closely with Associates to maintain accurate and up-to-date requisition and applicant files on SuccessFactors (ATS)
  • Manage relationships with third party suppliers, ensuring cost effective terms of business are agreed, and MAF procurement framework and SLA’s are adhered to

Functional/Technical Competencies:

Essential

  • Excellent time management and ability to plan ahead, taking account of priorities and the impact on business continuity
  • Client/stakeholder management & consulting skills
  • Exposure to relevant sourcing channels including direct sourcing techniques
  • Experience in using recruitment processes and systems, with an understanding of operating KPI’s

Desirable

  • Previous experience recruiting in regional talent markets, specifically the GCC
  • Familiarity using SAP’s - SuccessFactors - recruitment module
  • Proven ability in driving large recruitment initiatives in difficult locations

Essential experience

  • 3-5 years of experience working in a recruiting capacity
  • Demonstrated networking skills and ability to enable effective partnerships
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems

Essential Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or any other related field is preferred.
  • CIPD certification preferred.
