Role Purpose:

To ensure the company’s commitments to health and safety are delivered and that all business entities remain compliant with local legislation and industry best practice.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs Including IOSH.
  • Monitor and review incidents, carry out incident investigations and determine/implement suitable corrective actions when required.
  • Plan, implement & monitor food safety standards as per HACCP & ISO certifications for Kitchen and food preparation process.
  • Develop and support business unit food hygiene programmes and liaise with external providers and government entities.
  • Analyzing incident data and supporting on the implementation of corrective and preventative measures.
  • Coordinate with the identified H&S reps and provide support and assistance with their development.
  • Carry out regular site visits and conduct a variety of safety inspection/tours etc.
  • To provide advice and support to business unit managers on health and safety related issues
  • Attend health and safety committee meetings and compile reports/action plans following such meetings
  • To support the companies commitments to BS OHSAS 18001
  • Develop and implement health and safety initiatives
  • Carry out internal H&S audits and compile reports for management review
  • Working closely with the behavioral safety team and ensuring that the behavioral safety programme  is effective
  • To be involved in the project handover along with the Facilities Manager and cover aspects related to safety.
  • You will also support proactively crisis management in order to ensure that the procedure is followed correctly
  • To ensure that adequate risk assessments are carried out and that control measures are implemented and monitored
  • The support the company’s commitment to fire safety through adequate risk assessment, inspections and fire training
  • Liaise with the facility manager for any contractual requirements and monitor the performance of the FF AMC Companies.
  • Carry out other work delegated by the Operations Director.



Personal Characteristics and Required Background:


Personal characteristics

  • Experience in developing and delivering HSE training programs (IOSH managing safely & IOSH working safely would be an advantage)
  • Experience of fire safety and compliance with NFPA/BS standards
  • Advanced IT skills
  • Internal auditing skills
  • Experience in incident investigation and the implementation of corrective/preventative measures
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Registered first aid trainer would be an advantage
  • Experience of working with ISO 14001 and BS OHSAS 18001

Minimum experience

  • Possess NEBOSH IGC or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years health and safety experience
