Role Purpose:

As the Project Controller, he/she will partner with the 1ERP Program Office to set, drive, and support steering towards strategic direction and short- and long-term goals of the SAP S/4HANA implementation phases, business effects as well as cost efficiency. He/she will manage the financial plan and track the realization of established financial goals. The Project Controller will enable the 1ERP Program Office to take decisions based on a financial fact base throughout the implementation project.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Be a sparring partner with the 1ERP Program Office Lead and other 1ERP PMOs providing fact base (e.g., calculating business cases) as decision support for strategic direction and the achievement of short- and long-term goals and business effects
  • Seek opportunities and proactively monitor the performance and initiate actions to constantly drive efficiency and cost consciousness
  • Support the process of establishing long-term financial strategies and short-term goals as well as analyze and quantify results from planned initiatives based on the SAP S/4HANA solution
  • Quality assure and consolidate financial plans for the different functions and ensure alignment of priorities and goals. Drive long-term follow-up on financial goals (e.g., cashflow, profit)
  • Own and steer budgets and financial planning and drive monthly and quarterly follow-up with key stakeholders to ensure robust and accurate financial forecasts (Opex and Capex) and Profit and Loss reporting
  • Support 1ERP Program Office and OpCo stakeholders to ensure that financial guidelines and best practices are implemented and followed


Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

  • 3-5 years of experience relating to Program Controls, Project Controlling, or Financial Analysis
  • Experience in ERP transformation projects or SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred
  • Financial Accounting and Profit and Loss understanding is required
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyze complex problems and data and ability to create a storyline
  • Ability to translate strategic ambitions into tactical financial planning and optimized use of resources
  • Ability to understand needs and objectives and translate them into a financial context
  • Facilitate constructive communication, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing between different stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
