JOB TITLE
Mechanical Engineer | MAF Retail | Egypt Head Office

ROLE SUMMARY
The Project Engineer is responsible for handling design, technical specifications, standards required to ensure proper implementation of projects assigned. The role holder is also responsible for supporting project teams, assisting in project coordination and supervising vendors/contractors to ensure work is completed as per required standards and in a timely manner.

ROLE PROFILE

• Conduct feasibility studies in coordination with the team to ensure that all specifications and standards of approved projects meet organization’s requirements
• Participate in tender preparation stage by ensuring all relevant technical aspects of the tender are in place through directing different project team members from the different departments
• Analyse building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on designs and budgeting
• Determine the structural, electrical and mechanical designs in accordance with the approved frameworks
• Escalate to project manager any technical and operational changes that arise during construction
• Arrange material inspection activities by scheduling and informing relevant team members and reporting compliance

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering field
• 1-3 years of experience in a related function
• Excellent Microsoft Project & AutoCAD user
• Time management skills
