Role Purpose:

The role of the HCDX Operations Lead will oversee all aspects of the HC Digital Strategy Implementation and responsible for delivering and supporting most of HC systems in support of business objectives including digital experience and HC transformation.  The HCDX Operations Lead will maintain a hands-on role to ensure deadlines are met and key deliverables are always accurate. To lead technical support teams to deliver superior results, while monitoring and identifying any issues to be able to mitigate risk

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • SAP Success Factors:
  • Ensures SAP SF system architecture ranging from SuccessFactors Employee Central, Recruitment, Onboarding, Learning Management, Compensation and Succession Management modules are well maintained and helps business to optimize business processes and increase product utilization.
  • Assists in the design, implementation, and supports basic business processes in SAP Success Factors environment.
  • Escalates existing issues to the SAP SF Senior Manager as well as contributes to the anticipation of future possible hurdles to enable full utilization of Success Factors.
  • Engages with SAP SF Senior Manager to implement system enhancements, resolve system issues, manage integrations, and perform system testing when required
  • Ensures all Success Factors Modules configured as per the company policy and changes are well documented and maintained for future reference.
  • Assists in the establishment of Success Factors processes and procedures and ensure these are continuously updated and aligned.
  • Ensures a consistent service level delivery across all OPCO’s and contributes to new implementations as well as improvements to current processes and system configuration to serve business needs.
  • Contributes to business process design, perform system configuration & demonstrations and ensures cutover activities and hyper-care/post-go-live support are aligned with business timelines.
  • Gathers insights from internal service reports and the external market to identify continuous improvement opportunities for SuccessFactors
  • Leads the team in providing ongoing support and training of end users to ensure effective utilization of SAP SuccessFactors
  • Contributes to the design and implementation of powerful reporting tools within Success Factors to enable quick decision making and consistency of approach.  


Payroll System:

  • Assist in the payroll transformation activities as we look to consolidate global payroll systems, harmonize payroll processes and enhance automation.
  • Assist the Payroll Senior Manager in the implementation of a scalable infrastructure for reporting and analysis requirements and oversee payroll system architecture ranging from foundation, parameter and transactional data seamlessly flowing across the system through integration, transformation and the development process.
  • Optimize business processes and increase product utilization and drive in process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze business requirements and discuss with Payroll System Senior Manager to translate them into system configuration objects and create solutions design for Human Capital Management in compliance with company policy and best practices.
  • Ensure a consistent service delivery across all businesses in all countries and lead through their digital implementation programs.
  • Assist the Payroll System Senior Manager in optimizing Payroll solutions through unifying the processes across group, using technology where effective, to manage all aspects of executive and high-volume employee information.
  • Assist in the generation of different KPIs on key metrics and generate proper dashboards to support key stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.


MAF Digital Platform:

  • Assist in the creation and definition of an integrated digital HC ecosystems of technologies (HCMS, Talent Acquisition, Talent Lifecycle, HC admin, Payroll Approval, Compensation Management) with a clearly defined roadmap to optimize business processes.
  • Support the initiative to migrate products to new frameworks and processes to improve efficiency and employee experience  
  • Assist in defining the technical requirements by gathering business requirements through system enhancements, quality control measures to deliver an optimal employee experience.
  • Manage data integrity, processes and procedures which includes ensuring privacy standards are met across all platforms and ensure change management documentation is maintained.
  • Assist in understanding and business processes and design, implementation & demonstration with user acceptance tests and provide adequate support post live activities with business strategic timelines.
  • Design and implement a clear learning road map to support and train users on system functionalities to ensure full utilization of its different modules.

  • The role supervises a team with technical background in HC systems (SAP SF & Payroll systems) with integration points between all these HC Systems as well as other systems like Finance, business analytics.   
  • The role has touch points with other HC Systems as well as business processes that impacts the wider organization (40,000+ employees in 23 countries)

Payroll Function  


Works with COE’s to ensure the employee transactional data is integrated properly into the payroll system & the foundation data in both systems are fully harmonized.

HC Team


Offer consultation on the system and resolve issues through quick fixes and escalate major system development to the COEs.

GS HC Lead Team


Assist in implementation of the cyclical processes across all towers as well as monthly operational support on all systems related issues.

Internal Auditors

As & when required

Assist in the various audit cycles and liaise with the COE team to ensure audit requirements are met.


Functional/Technical Competencies:

  • Certified in all SAP Success Factors modules is a must
  • Process excellence knowledge
  • Knowledge in employer branding, hiring strategies for hourly workers and sourcing for diverse talent is critical to success.


Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Arabic preferred.

Minimum experience

  • 7+ years progressive HC digital experience and at least eight years of demonstrated success leading and developing a team.
  • Experience in Shared Services and HC systems’ implementations
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, change-friendly, and dynamic environment.


Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, computer science or any other related field. An equivalent of the same in working experience is also acceptable for this position.
