B2B Field Sales Associate 

Role Purpose:

The Field Sales Associate is responsible for establishing and fostering relationships internally and externally across small and medium businesses to ensure strong ties at multiple levels, including higher level relationships to develop ongoing budget allocation and upsell opportunities. The sales associate is expected to significantly enhance the client experience and set Majid Al Futtaim Retail apart from the rest in the region.


Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Growth and Sales

  • Develop and execute a detailed business plan to grow revenue opportunities from identified new prospects in the market
  • Field Sales: Prospect and hunt for new related businesses in the region
  • Establish a winning relationship with the clients based on excellence and trust
  • Manage a sales pipeline and sales forecast as well as activity tracking
  • Own the field sales deck, highlighting the suitable value proposition in the region of focus
  • Understand MAF Retail competitive offerings, and successfully position and articulate it with the clients
  • Be resourceful and manage further project responsibilities as needed to keep up with the fast-paced environment

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with the operations team to prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Weekly updates on the role, achievements and areas of improvement

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of the performance management process by setting objectives, monitoring performance, provide constructive feedback and provide inputs to senior management
  • Provide inputs on training needs and coordinate with the Human Capital department to ensure facilitation of training requirements
  • Develop and implement on the job-training for new team members
  • Ensure the implementation of MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures
  • Functional/Technical Competencies
  • Understands the digital eco systems and e-commerce environment
  • Has the knowledge of selling solutions – consultative sales
  • Develops customers for the long term
  • Delivers on sales quotas
  • Track, report and comprehend results – Good with Microsoft Excel/Sheets
  • Well versed with Microsoft Office products (Docs, Sheets, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication: able to express thoughts logically and succinctly
  • Qualification, Experience & Skills :
  • Minimum Qualifications/Education: Education in Sales Marketing, or any other related field
  • Minimum experience: 2-5+ years in sales, field sales and analytics sales experience with local and/or regional accounts
  • Demonstrate a track record in sales and business development, with a specific focus on client acquisition
