E-B2B2C Field Sales Associate

Role Purpose:

The Field Sales Associate is responsible for establishing and fostering relationships internally and externally across small and medium businesses. The role holder will ensure strong ties with the potential clients and is expected to significantly enhance the client experience and set Majid Al Futtaim Retail apart from the rest in the region.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Growth and Sales

  • Execute the business plan to grow revenue opportunities from identified new prospects in the market
  • Prospect and hunt for new related businesses in the region
  • Establish a winning relationship with the clients based on excellence and trust
  • Manage a sales pipeline and sales forecast as well as activity tracking
  • Understand MAF Retail competitive offerings, and successfully position and articulate it with the clients

Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with the operations team to prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Weekly updates on the role, achievements and areas of improvement

    Financial Responsibilities
  • Ensure alignment of procedures in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA)
  • Assist in monitoring allocated budget to ensure compliance and highlight possible issues
  • Provide inputs on cost reduction measures

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work
  • Apply and follow MAF Retail’s Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions
  • Provide training and feedback to direct reportees when required

Definition of Success

  • Flare for sales, with a strong mindset to win, someone who can sell for 5-6 hours on the field daily
  • Negotiate contracts and close the deal to achieve sales targets
  • Identify, encourage, acquire, develop, and manage new clients to drive growth
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, primarily achieved through cold calling, tele-calling or by physical meetings
  • Team oriented and effective stakeholder collaboration to fulfil business requirements

Other Context (if applicable):

This is primarily a sales acquisition role, where strong field sales acumen is required.
This will require hustle on the field for sales efficiency and client onboarding
Requires a candidate who is ambitious to grow and overachieve in the organisation.

 

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Understands the digital eco systems and e-commerce environment
  • Has the knowledge of selling solutions – consultative sales
  • Track and report and comprehend results – Good with Microsoft Excel/Sheets
  • Well versed with Microsoft Office products (Docs, Sheets, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and oral communication: able to express thoughts logically and succinctly
  • Driving license is required

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications/Education

  • Education in Sales Marketing, or any other related field

Minimum experience:

  • 2+ years in Sales, Digital Media, or Analytic Sales experience with local and/or regional accounts

  • Demonstrate a track record in sales or business development, with a specific focus on on-field client acquisition
  • Self-starter who is self-motivated, but also a team player with a professional presence
  • Dynamic, energetic personality, who is passionate about building new business relationships
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Positive 'No Quit' attitude
  • Fearless on the cold calls, persistent, able to demonstrate product effectively and carries good work ethics
  • Arabic and English working proficiency is a must
