Role Purpose:

The Salesforce Solutions Architect’s primary role is to transform business functional requirements into technical solutions. The Solutions Architect will guide business and IT stakeholders in strategic planning to realize impactful business outcomes leveraging information technology and fit and comply with Enterprise Architecture standards.

The Solutions Architect is expected to perform analysis, design, development, and implementation of process and technology within the Salesforce suite of applications, while maintaining an understanding and high-level view of technology components to translate how business systems are impacted.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Be responsible for creating & delivering in a timely and accurate fashion, CRMs and workflow solutions using Salesforce/Apex, Force, VisualForce, Lighting components and J2EE technologies.
  • Be responsible for the application design, development and support of Salesforce related projects.
  • Identify and recommend based solutions, integration points and related implementation architecture for business usage improvements, scalability and performance.
  • Participate in or to drive deep architectural discussions to build trust and rapport with Business users during implementation stage
  • Proactive to keep abreast of new technologies and to promote the adoption of new initiatives on client side or internally
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to Business users and project team members to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Through the use of UML diagrams, design documentation and best-practice methodologies, you will be responsible for the detailed design of Salesforce related projects from inception through production support.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is implemented and performance requirements are closely monitored by working with the development teams. 
  • Collaborate with technical architects and technical team of implementation partners and to review solution design and map recommendations as per best practices.
  • Must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment by leading Onsite and Offshore technical teams, providing them technical guidance and ensuring project and operations delivery is as per Business expectations.
  • Conduct code reviews, solution design activities and recommended training and development plans.
  • Establish DevOps and manage release management for Salesforce implementations.

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Degree holder preferably in Computer Science or Engineering disciplines
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in designing and implementing large scale distributed applications, atleast 2 years in a Solution Architect role.
  • Proven successful track record to design application(s) with extensive knowledge in SFDC or CRM solutions with integrations to related systems
  • Solid experience working with clients across cloud transformation projects with focus on at least 2 of the major platforms (Sales / Service / Community Cloud / Marketing Cloud)
  • Experience with common integration patterns used between legacy systems to integrate with Salesforce platform
  • Proven experience with APEX, Visualforce pages, API programming, Javascript, and writing SOQL queries. 
  • Systems design experience, with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and other methods
  • Broad system design and architecture skills with the ability to architect or explain complex systems interactions including data flows, common interfaces, APIs and infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge of data management, including data capture, warehousing, segmentation, mining, Strong knowledge of CRM software quality assurance best practices and methodologies

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and learn new technologies, and be passionate in updated trend
  • Salesforce Solution Architect Certification is highly desired.
