Role Description:

  • Division / Department: Shopping Malls- COO
  • Reporting to: Chief Operations Officer- SMBU
  • Level: Senior Manager

Role Purpose:

Responsible to define and assess opportunities for third-party management, as well as development of business model in accordance with the Business Unit strategy. The role will set up the model, develop the strategy, and monitor the business outcomes in line with defined plans.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. Work with the COO on developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy to define and assess third party management opportunities
  2. Maintain a strong understanding of the competitive landscape across the MENA region
  3. Prepare and implement short-term, medium-term & long-term Business Plans with clear bottom-line results and analyze client and project opportunities for the development of new services in close coordination with the relevant region/country heads
  4. Adopt best in class models and best practices in managing 3rd party assets ensuring the commercial viability of the business
  5. Identify potential prospects and lead on the negotiation and deal-making process ensuring alignment with the Shopping Malls strategy and aspiration
  6. Establish relationships with Real Estate Players and guide the procurement, selling, contracting, services provision and collections processes
  7. Coordinate with the relevant internal and external stakeholders on the provision of services to third parties
  8. Foster knowledge sharing across MAFP to leverage on the business opportunities based on the expertise and local/ regional/ global market knowledge
  9. Ensure compliance with Majid Al Futtaim’s Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HC Policies and Procedures at all times

  • Business / Economics / MBA preferred/ PhD in Management would be a plus
  • 15+ years of progressive and successful experience in asset management, property management, and managing third party assets with specific focus on Shopping Mall / retail in GCC or abroad in a leadership role with an international recognized development company.
  • Ability to lead and oversee multiple assets & complex deals across a wide geographical region with strong internal and external stakeholder management abilities.
