Role Purpose:

The role of the Sales Event Executive will support the sales department and ensure a seamless delivery of paid events for corporate clients, private individuals booking events with a MAF LEC assets, internal MAF events, vendors and any ad hoc events as and when required by the business.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Delivery & Support
- Liaises with the customers (internal & external) once payment has been received to ensure a seamless execution of the booked event including ensuring that any venues booked for privatisations have been reserved accordingly
- Prepares an event briefing according to the details of what has been booked and ensures it is 100% in line with the customer’s expectations and what has been paid for before submitting it to the internal team that will be managing the event on the day
- Shares the event briefing for the planned event with Operations including critical details such as technical specifications, administrative details, and special requirements.
- Attends events as necessary and directs activities from start to finish to ensure the function success and customers satisfaction.
- Coordinates all elements of the event with a creative mindset to create a flawless experience for clients
- Works with sales team to acquire necessary services and activities for events while meeting budgetary objectives.
- Performs post-event tasks to ensure client satisfaction and documents any issues for future learning and enhancements.
- Ensures that all requests are handled within the agreed timelines.
- Constantly gathers, understands, and applies expanding knowledge of foods, beverages, technical equipment and inter-departmental procedures within the Sales Team and as part of the planning process with the client
- Supports customer loyalty and brand standards by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
- Builds strong relationships with customers to drive repeat events and activities with MAF LEC
- Builds strong relationships with MAF colleagues to maximise teamwork and collaboration
- Handles guest complaints and disputes in a polite and professional manner
- Ensures that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximizes upselling opportunities whenever possible.
- Attends weekly and monthly department meetings and prepares meeting notes and feedback accordingly.

Financial KPI’s
|
- Will manage assigned events across VOX, Ski Dubai, Snow Abu Dhabi, Magic Planet, Little Explorers and Dreamscape for all MAF locations except KSA and Egypt
- Supports delivery of 8,000,000 AED in revenue from events (2022 KPI – will increase in 2023)
- Clients will include multinational corporations, banks, government entities, private individuals and internal MAF business units

Performs any additional adhoc duties as and when requested by the Line Manager and/or Head of Department.

Minimum experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a 5-star hotel environment within Conference and events.
- Previous experience in the GCC is an advantage
Minimum Qualifications/education
- Degree or Diploma equivalent in Hospitality/PR or Marketing, preferred
