Role Purpose:

 

The purpose of this position is to support operational procurement, strategic sourcing, senior procurement management and Majid AL Futtaim Properties senior management across all Majid AL Futtaim Properties BU's and all countries of operation with regular detailed specific and complex analytics, reporting and MIS (management information systems). The position holder will be the

system expert for all procurement systems and databases in place and will manage the data-warehouse (e.g. SAP/Ariba and Oracle EBS). The role interacts with the wider Procurement team, as well as SME's from other functions and BU's, e.g. (but not limited to) IT and Finance.

 

The position’s responsibility is to run periodic reports from Oracle EBS (e.g. OBIA) and other systems and databases (e.g. SAP/Ariba, Tawasul etc.), in order to perform detailed and sophisticated procurement analysis required, monitor and update budget plans, monitor general compliance and procurement performance, monitor data accuracy, and to prepare different sets of information required by different areas of the Procurement department as well as Majid AL Futtaim Properties senior management. These sets of information need to be highly accurate and meaningful, as these support the internal controlling, compliance monitoring and decision making, and are shared with CEO's, CFO and HOF's beside other

senior directors and functional leads as deemed appropriate.

 

Should capacity allow, the individual might support operational procurement with PO and supplier administration, as well as strategic sourcing with Rfx processing.

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

      1. Perform all assigned cations across all Majid AL Futtaim Properties BU's and Functions as well as all countries/regions (centralized operations and analytics).

      2. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, perform the required level of internal/external controls, incl. regular pre-audits and spot checks.

      3. Obtain data regularly from Oracle EBS (OBIA) and SAP/Ariba as well as Tawasul.

      4. Review obtained data and documentation details, making sure it is complete, up to date and accurate, follow up with data and document owners if needed.

      5. Design, setup and maintain all required periodic report formats and dashboards (MIS), and produce ad-hoc reports on demand as required.

      6. Analyse data and documentation, and fill out and provide/distribute the required periodic reports accordingly, addressing the targeted information required.

      7. Meet with recipients of the MIS in order to provide additional information and clarity, as well as to agree on required follow-ups, actions and next steps.

      8. Interact will all levels of Procurement employees, Finance, IT as well as Majid AL Futtaim Properties senior management as and if required.

      9. Review system and data integrity as well as records management, gather ideas and suggest and execute/manage improvements accordingly.

    10. Highlight areas of high inconsistency, gaps, failures and/or risk to the appropriate audiences and present the conclusions and recommended actions/follow-ups.

    11. Assist Procurement Operations with supplier creation, PO execution and end-user training as required.

    12. Manage and oversee the Procurement budget, reporting performance (plan vs. actuals)

    13. Support Audit with data and system/database access required, as well as with the interpretation of data and documents recorded.

    14. Help the entire Procurement Function with staying compliant with policies, procedures, standards and best practices at all times.

 

Minimum Qualification/Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Equivalent preferred, but not a must.
  • Procurement background is desirable

 

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 -3 years in similar position ideally in a Procurement analytics role, similar relevant analytics roles will be considered.
  • Highly analytical and numerate, controlling and compliance focused.
  • Expert in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Very experienced with e-procurement and e-sourcing systems (e.g. ERP systems like Oracle, SAP etc.), databases and data-warehouses.
  • Creative with the ability to design, setup and manage different types of professional reports, analysis and information systems.
  • Experience in risk management is a plus.
  • Fluent in business English, Arabic is a plus.
