Role Purpose:

  • Develops and manages a communications strategy and implements a broad range of public relations activities and plans for Majid Al Futtaim Communities Business unit and UAE projects to achieve organizational, business and brand goals.
  •  Provides strategic counsel and guidance to Majid Al Futtaim’s Communities leadership to ensure all their external communication engagements are in-line with corporate communications’ strategy, objectives and protocol.
  •  Manage the communications risks, opportunities and collaborations of the Communities business unit, both internally and externally
  •  Develop roadmap for Communities Business Unit market entry and brand building across the MENA region
  •  Ensure all external and internal communications’ messaging and narratives are consistent with corporate communications standards and support overall brand and communication goals.
  •  Develop and manage leadership profile on both offline and online platforms by providing strategic roadmap in persona building, drafting and creation of digital/offline opinion and content pieces.
  •  Evolve brand DNA and storytelling across different markets to deliver high brand affinity and equity. As well as articulate leadership vision for internal stakeholders and culture shaping.

 

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

          Strategy Development & Planning:

  • Develop an effective communication strategy and implement comprehensive communication plans – while ensuring the alignment and incorporation of feedback on the plans from key leaders and internal clients throughout the process. Oversees the ongoing progress of the strategy and plans, evaluates their success and measuring results.
  • Develop and implement an overarching corporate external and internal communications guidelines, policies & processes.
  • Develop, implement and maintain the corporate key messages, stakeholders mapping and master narrative.
  • Develop and Implement crisis and issues communication strategy, policies and processes.  Proactively manages and mitigates issues, keeping a close eye on how issue are unfolding within social media.
  • Work closely with our Legal and other functional teams as needed, as well as agency partners who have been hired to develop and execute issues/crisis communications programming.
  • Deliver consistent investors Communications as per the financial calendar including the annual report.

 

 External & Internal Alignment

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with top tier local and regional media and other stakeholders as required.
  • Conduct companywide corporate communications audit and review to ensure BU compliance with the policies & processes.
  • Ensure consistency of the corporate external communications strategies, plans and message across the companies
  • Serves as a key contact to members of the media who are seeking information about the company and/or its BU and brands.

 

     Executive & Leadership Communication

  • Provide communications counsel and expertise to Majid Al Futtaim leadership and senior executives for public speeches, events and conferences ensuring consistency in messages, tone of voice and compliance with the corporate communications policies.
  • Manage the Holding CEO media relations and communication activities.
  • Content Development
  • Develop Content for CEO social handles and internal communications, in line with persna building and profile.
  • See corporate communications content and deliverables from concept through execution, including, but not limited to company annual report, website and social and digital media content, media materials, executive presentations/speeches, talking points and memos.
  • Develop and implementing digital and social media communications strategy and plan.
  • Maximize media exposure for corporate through effective communications activities with the support of the PR agency.
  • Work with Business Units marketing and communication teams to ensure effective and consistent implementation of their corporate communications.
  • In conjunction with corporate branding, internal communications, marketing team, ensure consistency and compliance in all the contents created across all internal and external communication channels including, but not limited to, collaterals, website, social media, advertisements, annual reports, internal messages, etc.
  • Develop and execute varied and integrated thought leadership communications across all channels including print, digital, TV, internal, etc.

 

Agency Management

    • Manage the PR agency day to day activities and relationship and conduct a periodic reviews and audits.
    • Provide the brand communications performance reports to management and conduct continues reviews and assessments

 

Minimum experience

  • Minimum 8 -10  years hands-on experience in a strategic role in media/public relations, brand management, or corporate communications or in a consulting firm advising large corporations.
  • Regional background: must have work experience in the GCC, with strong professional network in the Media; Arabic speaker preferably

 

Minimum Qualifications/Education

  • University Degree in Business, Communication sciences or comparable qualification
