Role Purpose:

 

Leasing Manager will be responsible for supporting the managing the Leasing portfolio of MAF LEC and its businesses in line with Business strategy.. He/she will be responsible for life cycle of leases and manage all aspects including but not limited to administrative, financial, and contractual. He/she will proactively review the assigned  leases cycle and ensure that they are aligned and executed to overall business strategy and goals.

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Analyze lease information, advise, and provide recommendation on key factors from a leasing perspective for senior management review decisions
  • Responsible for the Leasing portfolio and recommendation to the senior team on how to add value and meet the business strategy and objectives.
  • Proper management of all leasing documentation across the business units, including accurate completion of lease, renewal, extension and store closure agreements, ensuring timely completion of all transactions.
  • Ensuring all vendor’s information are in place and that all rents and lease related payments (excluding turnover rent and utilities) are paid on time and processed in accordance to the signed agreements.
  • Analyzes and interprets lease agreements and their ancillary documents to ensure proper application/compliance regarding billings and payments, disputes expenses and tracks savings when appropriate.
  • Monitor and send follow-ups on all lease contractual commitments and liaise with the different stakeholders through completion.
  • Manage and track all lease critical dates and their related actions and coordinate with the Legal and Real Estate departments and all stakeholders to assess, negotiate, recommend and finalize the required documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain information for occupancy, lease expiration and other reports as requested or necessary for the line manager and  business units.
  • Participate in negotiations related to lease actions with landlords, including lease extensions, rent reviews, fair market value negotiations, options, first rights of refusal, termination, and other contractual obligations.
  • Provide recommendation and advise on lease agreements and real estate related matters.
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure accuracy of all lease data and that the same is reportable and consistent with the business units’ needs.
  • Ensure that all lease transactions and documents are correctly recorded, database is always maintained and updated to hold accurate and easy to retrieve data.
  • Manage the implementation, operation, and maintenance of all asset management digital software in line with the Majid Al Futtaim Ventures’ digital transformation strategy

  • To prepare the relevant reports for the management.

  • To ensure smooth information flow between internal team, functions and Business Units.
  • Support the department in working towards improving overall service level by continuously identifying areas of improvement and innovation.
  • Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Active participation in projects, task assigned by the management.
  • Maintain all the official documents (Contracts, SLA, Agreements, etc.) in the most confidential way and make it available to HODs, as and when required. 
  • Support Majid Al Futtaim’s ambitions and contribute towards implementation of the Dare Today, Change Tomorrow Sustainability Strategy.
  • To equip yourself to become an ambassador for the Dare Today, Change Tomorrow vision
  • Maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of information in line with MAF Venture information security policies and procedures in order to protect information from any disclosure or misuse.

Minimum experience

  • 7-10 years’ experience in managing leases with industry knowledge. Legal know how an added advantage for the role is. in leasing and or lease administration.
  • Experience in a legal environment is an advantage.

 

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s in Business administration, property management or similar discipline.
