Job Purpose:

  • Maintains Web environments by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance. Manage web applications and related integrations with no or minimal downtime of any integrated solution across all business locations.
  • Provide end-user IT support across the MAF Leisure organization and its joint ventures in the region. The key responsibility of this position is to provide Level 1 & Level 2 support to IT related requests and incidents from users.  The job mission is to assist IT Business Engineers and provide user specific hardware/software related service support, including installation, configuration and incidents resolution in a timely manner.  Ensuring user compliance to MAF IT policies, processes and procedures is a critical component of the position.


Job Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Establishes Web system specifications by analyzing access, information, and security requirements; designing system infrastructure.
  • Establishes Web system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of server hardware, software, and operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintains Web system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
  • Secures Web system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation.
  • Upgrades Web system by conferring with vendors and services; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements and new software.
  • Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking emerging Internet technologies; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Ensure selected vendor, solution is aligned with the Business/ IT Vision and Strategy
  •  Support Business and IT Counterparts in routine planning activities for all IT Functions
  • Cordially work with Business and IT Counterparts to Implement, Integrate new solutions with existing 3rd party Applications with flexible and scalable methods or middleware
  • Support the Business and IT counterparts during Testing and Training 
  • Ensure that the developed component/ production release is duly tested by all project stakeholders (including Ventures) before deployment
  • Participate in weekly IT meetings and contribute with constructive inputs to enhance/ optimize Business Applications and IT Services
  • Ensure proper documentation is delivered at each stage/ phase of the project and uploaded on the project repository
  • Monitor backlog of open tickets and determine trends and opportunities for improvement; provide periodic status reports.
  • Work with agencies to build traffic & sales via the website (PPC agency, email marketing provider, e-commerce provider, etc)
  • Plan, define and implement website changes and functional improvements
  • Maintain and update the online marketing plan for the website
  • Monitor key performance indicators on the website and develop plans to improve them
  • Manage website configuration & parameters (eg payment options, stock management)
  • Scope and document ongoing website functional projects /improvements
  • Test and deploy functional projects /improvements
  • Liaise with e-commerce agency regarding the day to day management of the website
  • Liaise with internal resources regarding the day to day management of the website
  • Evaluate approaches & strategies to improve website sales conversions & customer engagement

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Skillset (job specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)

  • Experience with configuring and administering several Windows 2008/2012/2016 R2 Server
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging application performance problems
  • Experience with major brands and vendors of technology hardware and business applications.
  • Expertise in dealing with SharePoint system and remote support tools.
  • Expertise in database administration by performing and monitoring SQL maintenance tasks.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, time management and customer service skills.
  • Leverage broad knowledge across Agile Software Engineering disciplines and Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure) to successful migration of applications.
  • Would be responsible for MIS reports required by the business.
  • Would prefer if work in any of the ticketing system.
  • Demonstrate promptness and professionalism with telephone and email communication.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills to assist users with varied levels of technical knowledge.
  • Strong written communication skills to create proper documentation and written instructions to users.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to perform duties in a team-oriented environment and to work with employees at all locations. Knowledge of IT vendor procurement processes

Minimum experience

  • A minimum of 2-5 years in a similar role


Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience
