Role Purpose:

You will be responsible for the creation of digital content and initiatives for the Marketing team.  Create engaging and creative graphics to visually represent the company's brand. Responsible for all aspects of graphic design, from planning out illustrations or infographics to managing marketing materials such as presentations to partners, clients, and media, and designing a wide variety of creative across social and digital.

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Planning concepts by studying relevant information and materials
  • Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size and style and submitting them for approval
  • Preparing finished art by operating necessary equipment and software
  • Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed
  • Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites with software such as photoshop
  • Reviewing the quality of photography and image resolution;
  • Creating and editing photos, videos and digital content;
  • Encoding, converting, and editing videos and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics;
  • Reviewing raw material to determine shot list;
  •  Manipulating video footage using modern editing techniques;
  • Inserting dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects;
  • Simple design tasks like removing backgrounds from images;
  • Custom Graphics for frequent marketing materials, like emails, blogs, and other communications;
  • Edit video clips for use on social media platforms, websites, and mobile apps;
  • Optimize graphics and video content for social media platforms, websites, and mobile apps;
  • Strong color correction and grading skills;
  • Pay close attention to details, ensuring projects are scoped and scaled to hit deadlines;
  • Aid and consult marketing team on more involved video projects that may arise, which would require production teams

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, graphic design, or related field, or demonstrated success in relevant professional areas;
  • Bilingual Speaker (English & Arabic)

Minimum experience

  • Experience as a graphic designer or in related field
  • Minimum 3 years related professional experience;
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite for both design and video editing;
  • Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Photoshop, InDesign Quark, and Illustrator
  • Prototyping skills using Sketch or InVision a plus;
  • Understand digital and print design as well as the essential functions of video editing;
  • Strong understanding of design principles (typography, composition, proportion, patterning, color theory, photo art direction, etc.);
  • A strong eye for visual composition
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design
