Role Purpose:

 

The Data Analyst is responsible for developing Finance dashboards and reporting solutions, analyzing and modeling large database.

 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Data Analytics

  • Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases
  • Prepare automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in creating management reports on the financial planning process through constantly updated and properly managed reporting software and tools
  • Ensure that management consolidation and management reports reflect the company performance and financial standing through the review of quality of this information

Merchandise

  • Assist Call Center in promptly handling supplier queries and litigations
  • Develop tools/Portal access to suppliers to automate main queries
  • Automate penalty calculation process
  • Obtain merchandise approval of penalty on time and incorporate their feedback to enhance the calculation process

Financial Planning

  • Provide support to other departments of Head Offices for all matters related to management reporting and financial planning
  • Propose and implement action plans in order to increase productivity, performance and effectiveness of the operations

Business Analysis and Communication

  • Perform business analysis under supervision and leading of Head of Finance Merchandise in the areas of:
    • Operations and merchandise
    • New projects
    • Business modelling
  • Report any action that might interfere with the proper functioning of the company
  • Assist in business presentations, communication with the countries, ad hoc analysis

Human Capital Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work
  • Apply and follow MAF Retail’s Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions
  • Provide training and feedback to direct reportees when required

 

Definition of Success

  • Timeliness and accuracy of developed reports submitted
  • Average number of days to provide supporting documents and close pending points
  • Number of errors reported
  • Consistency and comparability of reports

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor in Information Technology, Computer science or equivalent

Minimum experience

At least 3 years’ experience in :

  • Data analytics, integration, manipulation
  • Development of dashboards, analytical tools
