Role Purpose:

The Facility Manager is responsible for providing comprehensive facilities support for MAF Lifestyles premises including, but not limited to full budgetary responsibility, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, routine cleaning schedules, waste reduction improvements and safety inspections.

Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

Customer

  • Ensure all MAF Lifestyle premises meets security, cleanliness, health and safety requirements and comply with legislation.
  • Manage all facilities preventative and predictive maintenance programs, including scope of work, specifications, SLA’s, management of vendors, and quality assessments.
  • Manage and track service provider’s performance ensuring high level standards are met.
  • Manage all adhoc activities on timely manner ensuring minimum disruption to business operations
  • Perform site inspections to identify enhancement and opportunities to support sustainability.  
  • Provide technical leadership and coverage for all aspects of the facilities as needed.
  • Attend to all emergency matters and urgent issues as they arise and deal with the consequences.
  • Visit vendors labor camps sites to ensure the living standards are aligned with MAF standards.

 

 

  • Ensure all supplier payments are paid within the agreed timeframe.
  • Ensure the selection of suppliers is in line with MAF Lifestyle need and policy.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers/procurements to ensure best market prices and service quality.
  • Ensure MAF Lifestyles stores are maintained at the highest possible levels and standards.
  • Create and maintain Facility Management annual budget.
  • Work closely with projects team and operations to ensure all new stores meet with green star requirements

 

  • Ensure awareness, understanding and compliance of all employees to Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Support in the roll-out of educational and training programmes where relevant to business need.
  • Work closely with all internal departments and external suppliers to build and develop professional working relationships.
  • Support in promoting sustainability initiatives to transform the lives of the community and contribute to the net positive impact, and health and wellness.

Functional / Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in Electromechanical (MEP) field experience

Qualifications & Experience

Qualifications/Education

  • Graduate or Post Graduate Degree, preferably in Electro Mechanical
  • Certification in H&S is a must

 

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in retail industry, minimum 2 years’ experience in a managerial role.
