ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Division / Department: Shopping Malls Business Unit “SMBU” - Omnichannel
  • Reporting to: Omnichannel Trading Manager
  • Level: Associate Manager

 

 

Role Purpose:

The key purpose of the Content Manager role is to build brand identity and brand presence through the creation and dissemination of omnichannel digital content. The scope of work extends from formulating the content strategy, creating, producing and publishing content as well as using analytics to track impact of creative content and growth of customer community.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for defining the strategy to deliver inspiring, relevant, quality content for MAF Shopping Malls, ensuring agreed Brand standards are maintained across all online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
  • Work with the cross functional teams to define and optimize the Digital Marketing calendar for aligned communication
  • Analyze website traffic and user engagement metrics to identify opportunities and drive performance
  • Ensure content across all platforms according to SEO best practice
  • Research design of UI and UX for omnichannel to develop and disseminate content to secure competitor advantage
  • Provide Centre of Excellence guidelines, training and support to Mall Marketing teams to drive Digital quality and consistency across Platforms and campaigns
  • Establish and manage photography for compelling visual content
  • Lead a team to ensure productive multilingual content management
  • Implementation of technical enhancements needed to scale content management efficiently
  • Be the brand custodian; protecting brand standards, defining and enforcing brand guidelines
  • Ensure compliance of all content published with relevant regional laws such as copyright and data protection
  • Comply with budget directives
  • Drive sales target for the business via traffic and conversion
  • Conduct audits as per business requirements
  • Ownership of all Platform domains and their security
  • Define and ensure compliance with digital guidelines
  • Negotiate with approved third-party suppliers where necessary to secure quality output at best cost
  • Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships across functions
  • Support and Training of the Mall Marketing teams
  • Provide positive consumer experience via easily navigated inspiring and informative content
  • Development and management of direct reports for top performance
  • Ensure limited gap between content and commerce across digital platforms, social media and physical

Education:

  • Graduate degree in Design, Digital Marketing, Ecommerce or relevant technology field
  • Expertise in social media, WordPress, Sitefinity or similar applications
  • Technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing, and digital asset management

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years’ experience in Digital Content
  • Proven experience as a content manager with specific online content management
  • Display keen interest in technology and innovation
  • Should be able to communicate effectively and have excellent negotiation skills
  • Should have good organizational and planning abilities including the ability to deal with/work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Good communications skills (written and verbal) in English and Arabic (preferable)
  • Passion for Online Retail and dedication for the elevation of consumer experiences in the Digital world
  • Strong internal and external relationship building ability for mutual achievements
  • Demonstrate previous success in building sales and revenue in a Commerce environment
  • Experience in resource planning and leading a team to success
  • Facilitate Business development and technical enhancement
