Role Purpose:


The Talent Management Manager is responsible for leading and driving the rollout / implementation of core talent management programs and processes for the respective zones/business units in line with MAFR’s people strategy. The role is also responsible for contributing to operational excellence in order to build a capable and engaged workforce, motivate and retain top talent and ensure a healthy pipeline of candidates to fulfil future organizational requirements.


Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Performance Management

•Develop and implement performance management processes and contribute to the overall framework design in collaboration with OpCos to build a high performance culture  

•Provide data analytics in order to contribute to management decisions and provide recommendations on areas of improvement

•Work closely with the countries to ensure clear understanding of performance management expectations throughout the organization

•Manage the calibration process to support the respective zones/countries in performance reviews and identifying top talent  depending on their performance and potential

•Contribute to the design and development of the 360 Survey and ensure effective implementation across the countries


Top Talent Development

•Ensure a seamless top talent development journey in order to develop, retain and engage top talent across the organization

•Develop and conduct periodic reviews on the progress of top talent development plans and targets to ensure efficient and effective people development


Succession Planning

•Drive the implementation of succession planning frameworks including identification of critical roles in collaboration with the senior management

•Ensure effective development plans are in place for successors and conduct progress reviews on the same

Leadership and Functional Competency Framework

•Design functional competencies in line with the business requirement to ensure role required functional competencies are always in line with the business needs


Talent Management Socialization and Communication

•Develop training and communication material for various talent management initiatives to ensure the Human Capital community as well as business stakeholders are fully aware and empowered for the journey ahead

•Deliver educational workshops to business stakeholders across the respective countries


Human Capital Responsibilities

•Ensure the implementation of the performance management process

•Provide mentorship for the purpose of developing a continuous talent pipeline for key roles

•Identify training needs and coordinate with the HC department to ensure facilitation of training requirements

•Oversee the develop and implementation of on the job-training

•Ensure constant availability of the required competent staff to support the organization in meeting all its responsibilities, plans, and objectives

•Provide inputs while developing MAF Retail’s corporate policies and relevant procedures, and monitor the implementation


Finance Responsibilities

•Monitor allocated budget to ensure compliance and take corrective measures when necessary

•Provide inputs on the development of annual budget

•Review financial reports for accuracy and consistency

•Develop necessary measures towards continuous reduction of the operational cost


Qualification, Experience & Skills:


Minimum Qualifications/education

•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources

•CIPD or SHRMS certification is a plus


Minimum experience

5+ years' experience in talent management or human capital generalist
