Role Purpose:


The Senior UX Architect is responsible for using data and insights to architect customer experiences across digital and omnichannel. The role holder will also responsible for developing the strategy for delivering design projects including championing agile/scrum design methods, partnership with technology teams and creating an information architecture.


Role Summary:


  • Define design solutions that transform complex tasks into easy-to-use designs for our customers 
  • Apply knowledge of the UX process (research, conceptual design, prototyping, testing)
  • Work in collaboration with other architects, designers, product managers and engineers to create engaging and cost-effective solutions
  • Plan and attend usability sessions and present user experience flow and designs to senior stakeholders for sign-off 
  • Convert project requirements into high-quality user interactions
  • Create and review wireframes, design mock-ups, interaction design concepts, usage scenarios, prototypes, specifications, site structure, process flows and other design documents
  • Champion best practice in usability and interaction design and providing advice and usability / interaction guidelines to the wider business teams
  • Help decide upon prioritization of requirements and developments based on level of effort vs business case and customer impact
  • Review web analytics and feedback from customers and colleagues to understand behaviour and identify areas of opportunity
  • Make realizable and innovative recommendations for improving the usability and functionality of our websites and apps
  • Develop an understanding of customers and champion their behaviours and needs
  • Create and optimize user centric information architectures, menu structures and taxonomies


Processes and procedures


  • Ensure analytical rigour across the assigned projects
  • Lead design problem solving processes, gathering required resource, setting project plans and ensuring effective design solutions
  • Generate highly creative ideas individually and from the he/she is leading
  • Champion agile design methods, encourage team work and collaboration for effective idea generation
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of contemporary user centered design methodologies and educate team members as needed
  • Work on the optimization of design processes such as the creation of personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flows and use cases
  • Act as the user-advocate during the development process, subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing or expert review, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective
  • Clear communication with all internal and external stakeholders


Functional/Technical Competencies


  • Working expereience in Squads & Agile environments
  • Working expereience on IOS & Android apps and Responsive Websites
  • Ability to think beyond the app, into service design, fulfilment and end to end experience design
  • Practical knowledge of Design Thinking methodologies, including user journey mapping and persona creation
  • Good understanding of the latest development/engineering methodologies
  • Good understanding of QA process


Minimum Qualifications/Education


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, user design, graphic design or similar courses


Minimum experience


  • 8+ years of user experience design experience for Mobile/Web applications, which leverage emerging ecommerce technologies




  • Leads User Experience portions of projects – from brainstorming and conception to architecture and training
  • Creates methodology and structure for the collection and use of user experience data
  • Develops effective UX testing methods (A/B testing, qualitative/quantitative, heat maps etc)
  • Implements global best practice for web and mobile ecommerce platform architecture
  • Ensures correct user persona and user journey analysis and subsequent design
  • Clearly communicates with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Leads the interface with User Interface designers to produce complete designs and liaises with the development team for product delivery
  • Centric designing approach, Prototyping, research, Analytics data, scratch
  • Understand design, business and technical
  • English (Full professional proficiency - Required)
  • Arabic is an advantage
