Role Purpose:

Majid Al Futtaim Retail – Carrefour is the leading Omni-channel retailer in the Middle East regions. We are seeking a Digital Sales Manager with experiences & strong network in the Middle East regions to support our new ad products recently rolled out across web, social & email channels.

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

Assets:

 

  • Collaborate with merchandisers to schedule and meet with  prospects
  • Build & maintain relationship with merchandisers and prospects to gather stories for proposal
  • Prepare proposals and media plans to build the sales pipeline and continue to drive revenues
  • Analyze market trends including products, pricing & media metrics
  • Closing new business & convert leads into bookings
  • Active participation in creating innovative customer touch points and new business opportunities for prospects

 

Humans:

  • Someone with strong people skills and enjoys meeting new people, and is familiar with the typical outside sales process (including but not limited to reaching out to prospects/ presentations/ closing new business)
  • Someone who can commit to a full-time work schedule with preference to results-based compensation
  • Self-motivated individual who is also a team player but also enjoys working independently

 

Functional/Technical Competencies

 

  • Excellent communication skill
  • Strong analytical abilities with solid organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience in digital media is a must
  • Strong track record of high level negotiation and successful internal and external relationship management, with the ability to consistently close sales and generate revenues
  • Good understanding of digital landscape & ecosystem with respect to operation process
  • Understanding of ad specifications, file formats and ad technologies
  • Adaptable and quick to learn new processes and tools, demonstrating strong technical/operational capabilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and with a wide range of employees with different skill sets
  • Experience working closely with brands and media agencies with strong network in the media industry in UAE/GCC would be a bonus
  • Experience with MS Office and CRM software would be a bonus
  • Negotiation skills
  • Good with numbers & excel

Personal Characteristics and Required Background:

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor's degree

Minimum experience

  • 2+ years of advertising sales

Preferred Languages

  • Arabic/ French (Full professional proficiency - Preferred)
  • English (Full professional proficiency - Required) Country Language where applicable
