Role Purpose:

 

The Interior Design Executive will work in the Design Studio team on Majid Al Futtaim Properties new developments or redevelopments projects for the Residential Communities and Hotels schemes. This position will manage the in-house and consultants’ teams in delivering design packages in accordance with the project brief, budgets, and timelines. 
 

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Assist and support key stakeholders in the development of project specific project briefs and scope of work; by producing interior planning solutions, with a good understanding of target customers and designing stimulating spaces, in accordance with the project brief, business objectives and MAF standards 
  • Incorporate stakeholder requirements in the project design while adhering to the Design Brief and maintaining MAF design standards. 
  • Provide support to the Interior Design Manager in producing a report/feedback of consultant design submissions across all phases 
  • Work with the other Design Studio design teams on the preparation of storybook vision documents during the initial stage of new development projects. These storybooks will use references, and sketches to identify the mood, key features and USPs of projects prior to the start of the concept design process.
  • Assist in the development of the concept design validation in house by producing mood boards, drawings, models, material, and other documents with the guidance of the team where required.
  • Support in the periodic design review and make design recommendations for specific issues as requested by ID Manager, Development & PM teams.
  • Make sure the quality of design documentation is in accordance with MAF standards, and the project brief and business requirements for projects are achieved through to completion.
  •  Assist and maintain accurate and timely review of ID project submittals and coordination with other disciplines to ensure that feasibility, program, design, technical efficiencies, and quality for projects are achieved through to completion 
  • Apply the international Standards, best practice and Policies & Procedures documents to identify new opportunities and improvements to the Design
  • Research interior design trends, materials, and products sourcing.
  • Ensure benchmarking of trends and innovation of our project designs to the international market
  • Ensure adherence to MAF brand quality, acting as a design center of excellence.
  • Codify specific design standards in a continually updated design standards document that is coordinated across all stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with the MAFP Code of Conduct, Departmental policies and HC Policies and Procedures at all times.

  • Understand the materials specifications and performance criteria along with strong knowledge of the local & international suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Industry sustainable and best practices
